The 2018 Student Internship Programme for financial services technology solutions provider, IT Consortium has kicked off with eight (8) undergraduates from various universities across the country.

The students, who successfully sailed through the rigorous selection process have been assigned to the Engineering, Finance and Project Departments of the company.

The programme, which spans over a period of four months, aims to introduce the students to the world of work by giving them the opportunity to gain practical industry experience under professional supervision in an environment which upholds the highest ethical standards in its operations.

According to the Finance and Administrative Manager, Mr. Simon Kpetsey, internships at IT Consortium afford interns the space to explore, manage mini projects and even inject fresh ideas into the company’s already existing solutions.

“Our interns are valuable to us and so we ensure that a rigorous process is put in place to ensure high quality talent are brought in to learn and exit the program with enhanced skills. Our interns go through a carefully designed programme to ensure that they gain maximum benefit from the experience,” he said.

“Being a company committed to making lives better, our student internship programme is one of the highlights of our year,” Mr. Kpetsey added.

An intern from the Ashesi University, Pauline Dorcas Owono was excited about the programme and was poised to take advantage of the opportunities given her within the period.

“The motivation to come and intern with IT Consortium is the fact that I am interested in cyber security, network security and system security. Also, IT Consortium is into financial technology and that requires good management and good security which I believe I will learn greatly from,” she said.
