IT Consortium officially a PCI-DSS certified company

IT Consortium is now officially a PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) certified company, after the successful completion of the PCI-DSS certification in July 2017.

In our bid to offer our clients maximum value for money, while maintaining the  highest standards of operations within the cardholder industry, we began the process to acquire a PCI-DSS certification in February 2017 and completed the certification process in July 2017.

This certification provides us with the best tools to maximize the security of cardholder data by continuously monitoring and enforcing the use of controls specified in the PCI Data Security Standard.

The PCI Security Standards Council is a global body which operates programs to train, test, and qualify organizations and individuals who assess and validate compliance, in order to help merchants successfully implement PCI standards and solutions. The Council’s founding members, American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard, and Visa Inc., have agreed to incorporate the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) as part of the technical requirements for each of their data security compliance programs. Each founding member also recognizes the Qualified Security Assessors and Approved Scanning Vendors qualified by the PCI Security Standards Council.

At IT Consortium, we believe that compliance is not a one-time event, therefore, we consistently and constantly work towards maintaining all compliance standards necessary to ensure users of our products and services are adequately primed/protected against cyber-attacks aimed at stealing cardholder data.

We are proud of our certification and are excited that our clients and the general public who rely on our services for their day to day financial transactions, can be assured of continual cardholder data protection.
